Looking to learn how to meditate? This community sit is designed for mystics, witches, healers, artists, creatives, empaths and anyone that is interested in joining with the intention to learn to meditate, build community and open to the luminous void.

These classes are designed to assist in creating tools, techniques and community support in developing a mindfulness mediation practice while honoring the mystery of life. Each meeting will consist of a short talk, a guided meditation and a Q and A session.

Laura Zuspan is the facilitator of this group and is a teacher in training through the MMTCP program taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach whom have worked within the Thai Forest Buddhist tradition. This class will in part take place on unceded Ohlone land, otherwise known as Oakland, CA

Empowering Mythological Archetypes: A Spring Introduction to the Tarot

With Laura Zuspan: the creator of The Luminous Void Tarot

In this all day immersion, we will learn the meaning and symbolism of the entire 78 cards of the Tarot deck, providing a foundation for a beginning reader. We will cover how to use the tarot for meditation and manifestation, then introduce several tarot spreads. We will learn the basic structure of the Tarot, illuminating the differences between the major and minor arcana (secrets), learn how to develop intuition (grounding and channeling), and develop skills in ethical reading. Along with a lecture-based class we will convene as a salon, learning to read for each other with professional insights from the teacher.

Accessing Our Power: The Life-Affirming Archetypes of the Tarot

How do we align with the life-affirming archetypes of the Tarot? What does it mean to own our power? In this salon we will meditate, conduct a guided discussion on power and use multiple card divination's to access our own unique power.

The Tarot is an ancient book of poetry and art, mapping our consciousness, revealing the secrets of human behavior and conditioning. Coupling the study of the Tarot with meditation aids in building self reliance, power and agency. It allows us to reclaim the magic and mythology of the human experience through symbolism and archetypal stories. Using the Tarot can help us identify how to build kindness, quiet and presence. Aiding us in being in our true self, our true power. The Tarot is a mirror with incredible depth and to be able to handle its many truths and insights we must develop ourselves, raise our standards and commit to a practice that is complimentary to positive mental health. This salon is designed for students that have some experience with the Tarot that would like to build a practice that will aid them in deepening their ability to work with the Tarot with positivity, kindness and power. This Salon is structured as a discussion/lecture, meditation and exercises.
